Surface Finishing & Coatings

At New England Small Tube we understand that the finish and appearance of a part is important. A good looking finished part says much about the quality of the part. One of the reasons people choose to use stainless steel as a material is because of its ability to be polished to a high gloss finish.

There are many methods to produce the many finishes including buffing, stainless micro-polishing and electro-polishing. We can provide all of these methods and can help you by suggesting the best method for your application.

We can also provide the other end of the spectrum of finish, a dull, matted or rough finish. This type of finish can be achieved by micro-blasting, glass bead blasting, sandblasting or any combination of the three.

New England Small Tube can also provide a large range of coatings including, Teflon, Parylene, MH-Ah, and many different hard coatings. These and other coatings can be applied to the outside diameter and in most cases to the inside surface down to an internal diameter of .020".
